When we use a wall mount power multiple-outlet ?

Although the multiple outlet sellers only listed the case of charging multiple electronic products such as phones, tablets, but our case is that we need a wall mount power multiple-outlet in Kitchen room mostly. Because we have had other ground styles power outlets, but we can not put a power outlet on the ground in kitchen room because there might be water on the ground there, a wall mount style power outlet is more safe in kitchen room.

Why we bought a Surge Protector power 6-outlet ?

We did use a cheap wall mount power multiple outlet which we bought from local dollar store, and we have used it for years since we never used heavy power watt devices. We used that power outlet was because we did not realize we needed a Surge Protector outlet, until this year when we read some information about home power usage, we bought the Belkin BSV602 Surge Plus 6-Outlet Wall Mount Surge Protector right away to replace our old cheap power outlet.

The back, There is one 3-prongs, a screw in the center place, and also an extra small handle (maybe you call it small notch ?) for helping balance and holding.

What is the max power ?

900 Joules but only 2.1 Amp and 10 W ? We do not know why the manufactory only highlighted and titled as 2.1 Amp and 10 W for this outlet, Actually, 2.1 Amp / 10 W is only indicating the USB ports specification, the most important thing should be the power Surge Protection and How many Watt is the Max power. After we looked everywhere on all the device and package box, we found the small text on the box: Continuous Duty Electrical Rating: 15A / 125V / 60 Hz / 1875W. Now we know the outlet support up to 1875 Watt power, which is great for home usage ! The max Energy Dissipation is 900 Joules, the max spike current is 45,000A.

Also, due to other users' comments, this outlet supports both of 120V and 220V, but we dd not have a 220v power environment to test, so we can not confirm it, please check related reviews and comments from Amazon website by yourself.

How to install ?

There were many users made mistakes when installed this 6-outlet, they thought the small handle was not useful then broke it, actually you should NOT cut it because it is very helpful for balancing the wall mount outlet, please check the image below for installation:

Remove the old screw from your wall power socket cover first, we need to use the long screw to insert into the same hole which came with the Belkin 6-Outlet to hold both of existing socket cover and the Belkin 6-Outlet; Also, let the 3-prongs go into the top power socket holes, and let the small handle go into the bottom hole, then the Belkin 6-Outlet will be installed and attached onto the wall successfully without loosing.

Now we can start to use the outlet, we have 6 AC outlets can be used now, also we have 2 USB ports to charge our light electronic devices such as phones and tablets, you can see the USB ports on the top of the 6-outlet.
