Why do we need a food preservation system?

Before you buy a food preservation machine, you will definitely ask why you should buy such a machine.  The needs of each family may be different.

Reason 1: Many families need to keep food longer. With a vacuum machine, the length of time that food is stored is very amazing. Let’s look at the comparison of the preservation time of several foods.

Beef: Normal refrigerator storage for up to 6 months, FoodSaver up to 2 ~ 3 years

Fish: up to 6 months in ordinary refrigerator storage, up to 2 years with FoodSaver

Soup and Stew: Stored in a normal refrigerator for a maximum of 3 to 6 months, with FoodSaver for up to 1 to 2 years

Vegetables: storage in ordinary refrigerators for up to 8 months, up to 2 to 3 years with FoodSaver

Bread: storage in ordinary refrigerator for up to 6-12 months, with FoodSaver for up to 1-3 years

Coffee beans: ordinary refrigerators can be stored for up to 6-9 months, and FoodSaver can be used for 2-3 years

Cheese: Storage time in ordinary refrigerator is 1 ~ 2 weeks, and FoodSaver can be 4 ~ 8 months

Rice and flour: up to 6 months in ordinary refrigerator storage, up to 1-2 years with FoodSaver

That’s why FoodSaver officially counts that a family can save up to $ 2,700 in food per year.

Reason 2: For food is fresh. It looks similar to Reason 1, but a little bit different is that the food is kept fresh. We want to keep food and air away for a week or 2 weeks time to achieve the purpose of keeping fresh. For example, on the weekend, we can prepare some foods (make them be ready for cooking in some bags). These foods may easily deteriorate in the air (such as peeled foods). We need to seal them and take them out of the pot for the rest of the week. A lot of time.

Here’s how the FoodSaver FM5440 2-in-1 Food Preservation System machine came out of the box. The 2 in 1 function refers to the vacuum seal function and the handheld sealer. As can be seen from the photo below, the main body of the machine is used to seal the food that can be stored in a sealed bag and to make a vacuum bag. At the upper right corner is a hand-held sealer that can be taken out of the main machine to seal the relevant container. This allows vacuum operation of some larger containers that cannot be inserted into the main machine or cannot be placed in sealed bags.

The following is a free vacuum lunch bowl that can hold food such as strawberries, of course, you can use it to put any other suitable food. This lunch bowl requires the hand-held sealer mentioned above.
