2016-11-20

Last time we introduced Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker Disassembling information. Today we are going to use the pasta maker to make noodle, which is our first case on this pasta maker.

Note:

1: Before you start to use the pasta maker, please read the user’s manual first ! It is very important ! it’s either for your safety or for the pasta maker’s safety;

2: This blog article is for a reference ONLY, it is not a noodles making guide. It is our case only, your own could be different.

OK, Let’s try our first case: make noodles.

The regular noodles recipe

Normally the regular noodles recipe is simple (but you still feel it is not easy for the 1st time), remember:

250g flour + 90ml water + 10 minutes processing time;  OR

500g flour + 180ml water + 15 minutes processing time.

And, choose a Shaping disc (check our Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker Disassembling to see how to change a Shaping disc )

The manual recommend that before you put in your flour, do NOT turn on Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker.

How to get 250g flour

You have two ways to get 250g flour:

1: If you have a small kitchen scale, you can use the scale to get 250g flour; If you are not a professional cooker, using scale is the best way for you;

2: If you do not have a kitchen scale, you can use the cup which comes with Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker package.

There are 2 cups in the package, the one is for measure water, another one is for fulfill flour. Full the cup with flour and do NOT shake it, the weight now should be around 250g. Also, please know from the manual mention 1 full cup of flour can have 1 ~ 2 servings (1 or 2 persons to eat)

(Note: if you are not sure the measure, please use a scale, after 1st time scale measure, you should know the approximately weight of 1 cup of flour, then you do not need the exactly measure anymore)

Get 90ml water

This is easy, the water measuring cup can give you exactly 90 ml of water.

Make Noodles Process

Get ready for the 250g flour and the 90ml water mentioned above;

Now, pour the flour into the chamber.

Plugin the power cable into wall power jack, now turn on Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker, first, we should make sure the pasta maker is on the Automatical mode,  you  set this on the control panel of the pasta maker. You can press the Program button to change mode (check the picture below);

Now due to your flour weight, set the processing time. For our case, we have 250g of flour, so then we press the Serving button (it has a picture of a cup on it) to set the serving on cup 1, which is about 300g indicated on the control panel, if you have 500g flour, you set set the serving to the second one.

After pouring the flour and setting  the right functions which was mentioned above, cover the mixing chamber lid (DO NOT forget this step), Now click the start button ( pictured below).

The pasta maker will start the flour mixing now, meanwhile, we will slowly pour the water (90ml which we measure by the water cup) into the mixture chamber, we did not take picture for the water pouring since we took picture after pouring the water.

After the flour mixing process is done, the noodles generating process start automatically, the pasta or noodles will start extruding out.

You should cut the noodles if you see they are too long.

About more details of how to operate during the pasta or noodles generating process, please read the pasta maker manual. We do not want to put too many content here since it is just a show case of making noodles using Philips HR2357/05 Pasta Maker.
